It is election season again and it is very important for everyone to exercise their right to vote. Whether your worried about the economy or the war in Iraq, this is your chance for your voice to be heard.
If you are not registered to vote, you have till October 6, 2008 to do so. Once you are registered to vote, early voting will begin from October 20, 2008 to October 31, 2008 and the Presidential Election will be on November 4, 2008. Make sure that you take your Texas Identification card or your Texas driver’s license to vote. We will be registering voters here at Proyecto Azteca. If you come to register, make sure you ask for Perla Lopez or Leonel Lopez.

· Last 10 time longer than the regular light bulbs.

· Make sure you sandbag and seal every door and window during a storm. Water will penetrate any door or window frame when its being sprayed directly at it.
· Make sure you are protected with the right homeowners insurance policy. As a friendly reminder, homeowners insurance is mandatory while paying a Proyecto Azteca home.

Self-Help Grant
Proyecto Azteca has received Colonia Self-Help Center Program (SHC) funds administered by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (“Department”), to provide a housing rehabilitation, reconstruction, new construction and/or Colonia SH Home Repair assistance program (“Colonia SHC Housing Assistance Program”), directed to low to moderate income homeowners and their immediate family. Colonias to be served are LJ, La Muniz, Rancho Sanchez, Linda Vista, South Tower Estates.
